Upon entering the library, Leon had somewhat spaced out in thought, which was a common first step in his own process of investigating.
Stopping and turning in response to hearing his name, Leon watched as his partner hurried over to him. As he reached Leon, William fixed the collar of his jacket and shifted a somewhat large book from one arm to the other.
"Hey, Will. How'd you do?" Leon asked, using his tongue to push the cigarette to the side of his mouth.

"So the name's Will?" Leon asked, closing the folder and looking back at William.
"Huh? Well It's William, but I guess you can cut corners." William looked down and fixed his glasses.
Almost amused, Leon nodded, "It's Will, then." He stopped at the entrance of the town's park, which had only been located a few streets away from the library. It was the park where this woman had been killed, supposedly. "Listen. I'm fine with our working together idea, but I'm not used to it. So-"He nonchalantly gestured to the park, "It shouldn't surprise you that I'm asking you to split up already."

The next day, Leon walked down the street, pulling the bill of his plaid mahogany colored cap over his eyes. What little sun that chose to show, irritated his eyes. The few hours of sleep he had gotten didn't fully wash away the alcohol that he had consumed not too long before.
But he still had work, and it wasn't all bad. Sometimes his job was less stressful with a hangover than it would be completely sober. But there was always his boss, who didn't approve on Leon coming to work in this condition.
